WThis is an easy version of a cocktail featured on our latest menu. This is a party-sized prepared mix which is loaded with tastes associated with holiday season, rendering it excellent for a celebration. Any leftover citrus syrup for morning drinks, sweets, or for additional servings of the drink.
The Bikini Cocktail
Yields 10 guests
For the Citrus Syrup (produces 750ml)
300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
For the Premix (makes 850ml, serving 10)
400ml good quality vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml citrus syrup (see above)
Fresh cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Method
To prepare the Cordial: Put every ingredients inside a pan, bring to a light boil, agitating to dissolve. Then, take off the heat allowing it to cool down entirely. Pour into an clean bottle, cap it and store in the refrigerator, it can be stored for about one month.
Preparing the Premix: Combine every liquids into a big jug, leave to sit for an hour, then pass it through preferably using cheesecloth, making it completely strained.
For serving: Add 85ml of your premix to a mixing glass filled with ice, and agitate lightly for a minute to chill. Strain to a frosted cocktail glass or similar, top with a few cranberries and complete it using a light spray with the mandarin essence over the drink.
